About

Hola, my name is José and I am a designer who loves culture, traveling, history, and the journey of life. Like a sponge I am constantly soaking up my experiences and channeling them into my design. My design expertise reflects my experiences as a freelance designer, as a student at Columbia College Chicago, as an intern with nationally recognized J. Walter Thompson New York and my work with the Community Center for Arts Partnerships, a nonprofit arts outreach organization for youth in Chicago, IL. Through these opportunities, I have established brand guideline experience and I am devoted to crafting unique multi-media design materials for various clients.

My style is grounded in the elements of simple design, with the goal of implementing design thinking to solve problems along with impactful visual vocabulary. As an experienced freelance photographer I enjoy combining minimal color, clean layout, and photos to execute designs, while incorporating elements from a few of my passions: typography, photography, and print.
